The 2009 eurofest held over the October 10 weekend in Surfers Paradise went down a treat with locals and visitors alike. MAS Entertainment provided an eclectic collection of world music to excite the musical senses and delight the crowds.

Hosted by Surfers Paradise Alliance, and centrally located in Neal Shannon Park, the day was nothing short of spectacular. The event was an explosion of aural and culinary delights with tastes and sounds from Hungary, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Ireland and more. All guests were pleasantly surprised to find a place where they could relax and enjoy exquisite food and free entertainment within the busy Gold Coast location.

Its easy to forget you can find a public park in the the heart of Surfers Paradise, let alone an area alive with authentic international music, food and culture. This is truly an event not to be missed... if you weren't there this year, make a note in your 2010 calendar!

We congratulate all the talented musicians who performed on the day, the event organisers and everyone who came along... the day was a great success!

Welcome to our brand new website

August 2009

It's out with the old, and in with the new! After a long revision process and some pretty creative thinking, we are proud to launch our new MAS Entertainment website. Now easier to navigate, the site allows us to showcase a great range of artists complete with media samples. When thinking about the new format, we decided it would be a great idea to provide as much variety as possible without overloading the site with huge files. Our experienced team can always arrange an in depth look at any one of the magnificent artists we have on file... after all, we look forward to helping you personnally with your events and entertainment selections.

MASKE ON THE MAIN STAGE IN VEGAS!!!! August 2007


This past 2 years has been a travel extravaganza with MASKE gaining popularity across the world. From Singapore to Hong Kong from Jakarta to Perth this act has played every state in Australia over and over again and now the world is beckoning from afar! Maske was booked for a large conference in Vegas alongside the famous band Aerosmith and "America’s got Talent" winners "Quick Change"

Mas is proud to be alongside this group all the way and can only say how excited we are about the future for these girls and the world stage certainly is their "oyster".



PETER BROCK TRIBUTE
                

MAS Entertainment have been asked to provide the Entertainment for the Supercheap Bathurst 1000 on the Sunday October 8th.
Due to the unfortunate passing of racing legend and "King of the mountain" Peter Brock, there will be a memorial tribute in the morning before the race with Australian legend Iva Davies performing a respectful version of "Heroes" followed by a minutes silence.

Following this very special event, Ricki-Lee Coulter will be singing the Australian Anthem and then, just before the beginning of the most watched car race in the country, Iva Davies will perform again, this time on the grid.

This will be "Heroes" up tempo with energy and once complete, the race begins!

Nick leden has been invited to Bathurst to co-ordinate these performances and to make sure the performers are well looked after.

We are pleased to announce MASKE MUSIC have appointed MAS Entertainment as their National and International booking agent exclusively for Maske Musics artist roster.
Following MAS Entertainment recently winning the TOP NATIONAL AWARD (2005) IN AUSTRALIA for the meeting and events industrys conference support services this great company felt this is a positive move for them and are very excited about the future.

Maske, Ultimo and Shenzo make up this amazing stable of musicians and singers and we are proud and privileged to be given this task and already face a bright future with many enquiries and bookings both here and overseas.

What can I say! Again we were privileged to present this legendary band to our overjoyed client and his patrons. If anyone ever doubted the talents of some of these bands from "Days Gone By" then just come and see this band in action!

Mas Entertainment is always delighted to provide the best of Australian Talent and this band really rates right up there with the talent of todays bands and yesterdays and probably future players in the world of Rock music.

Nick and I are always so impressed with the passion in the performance and the striking drive these guys possess after all this time. The Radiators delivered hit after hit to delighted fans and there is not a drummer in the country who doesnt admire the extraordinary chops of the gifted player in this band!

"The Rads" have never let age weary them and its just nothing short of pleasurable for Mas Entertainment to present still currently one of the best rock and roll bands in the country .

>MAS STAGES EVENT FOR DELFIN
MAS staged a magnificent concert for Delfin this past weekend with an event named VARSITY LAKES UNDER THE STARS - Featuring the fantastic team of Maske and Ultimo - along with the amazing talent of Wes Taylor (Guitar extraordinaire) and the band ... the great Steve Francis on drums and Andrew Johnson on Bass.

This was a monumental event for MAS Entertainment with full control being given to Nick Leden who organised it ALL from the Sandwiches to the Stage .. congratulations to Nick and to the artists for a stunning event - and to end the last note with the last fireworks bang was something I doubt you could do twice - well done!

Mary-Anne wows the crowd at the Radisson!


Mary-Anne Sterling and her band (Alex Fietz, Andrew Hobler and Suzie G) pumped up the hits from Streisand, Tina Turner and Bette Midler at the Radisson Hotel ballroom, Monday May 29th.
The VIP guests were invited to sing and dance along to all the hits which they did with enthusiam!!

MAS wins both National and State awards!
  

MAS is so proud to be the winners of the National award for 2006 Meeting and Events Industry Award for Best conference services - announced April 2006.

The award for our state of Queensland (as below) was surprise enough and to be announced the winner Nationally was indeed the highlight of the year for us and in fact the highlight of our years of hard work to date.

To be acknowledged in this way is truly a thrill and we are committed to bringing the best entertainment and the best service to both our Events Industry Nationally and Internationally with our Local Entertainment Venues being an integral part of our commitment as well, with attention to detail for both clients and artists alike.

In a magic setting in the stars at Q1 - MAS was the proud recipient of the prestigious 2005 Meetings and Events Industry award for best conference services in Queensland. The night was made special with the great talent of some of our best meet and greet artists - Over the Moon - with their silver galactic costumes - and the ever amazing Andy Pobjoy on keyboard and vocals. Jo Beth Taylor made her first appearance for a long while and as always wowed them as MC with her humour and her warmth.

Conrad Jupiters hosted the National Awards at a glittering ceremony in their Ballrooms. MAS as winners was an announcement we will never forget.

Thanks to MEA for their on going commitment to the MICE Industry.

How much better does it get than this?

We congratulate all the winners and look forward to a bigger and brighter year ahead.



MAS TRAVEL
Nick has just returned from overseas after an invitation was extended to him to go to China this month to observe the fantastic dance troupe "Gaelforce" from Ireland. His report has been one of excitement and praise for this professional troupe consisting of 32 dancers 6 live musicians 2 choreographers a stage manager and 12 production crew who played across the country to packed houses. From Taiwan and including Taipei, Kiao Siung, Tai Shung, Chung Lee, Tai tan and more, this was a tour to remember. MAS has been asked to bring this amazing act to Australia and NZ early next year.

MAS has a great deal of business generating in China and it was also a perfect opportunity to visit our new clients and Hotels adding to the first hand look at China and the culture therein. China is an interesting market and increasingly we are pushing into an offshore expansion of our ever expanding business in the world of music and events.



MAS AT WELLINGTON ARTS FESTIVAL
MAS was fortunate enough to be invited to the arts festival in Wellington in late Feb early March and can only say what a brilliant job they did of presenting some of the worlds greatest musicians and performers - Antonio Forcione stole the show in my opinion - one of the most innovative and exciting guitarists from London with extensive tours across the world and some of the most melodic albums I have had the pleasure of listening to.

A tribute to Barbra Streisand at Seaworld Nara
Mary-Anne continues to performs some of the worlds most loved songs made famous by Barbra Streisand, Bette Milder & Tina Turner: Send in the Clowns, People, Under the Boardwalk, Proud Mary, Simply the Best& more... with performances at "The Villa" - Twin Towns and many private corporate functions - Mary Annes love of music continues with her own show.

"I feel it keeps me in touch at the grass root level" Mary Anne States, and validates my job as an Entertainment Provider in the true sense of the word.



MAS APPOINTMENT
Very exciting times for MAS Entertainment with Mary Anne being elected to the committee of the Queensland Branch of Meeting and Events Australia (MEA).

MEA is a national, independent not for profit organisation dedicated to fostering professionalism and excellence in all aspects of meetings management. It also promotes the value and effectiveness of meetings as an important high-yield sector of business travel and tourism. Mary Anne is thrilled to be elected and looks forward to contributing significantly to MEA in 2005/2006.



IN SUMMARY
These months have been some of our busiest and best ever with overseas travel, major awards and business so strong and positive with April being the biggest month on record for conference supply.
