MICHAEL BUBLE show off to Vanuatu for MAS
RHYDIAN LEWIS – Heading to Vanuatu VIP Resort for MAS
Rhydian was given a Frank Sinatra cassette tape at the age of 14 (Come Fly With Me) which he played
over and over until he had learnt all the songs and lyrics, which would later come in handy as Rhydian
toured the UK singing Jazz favourites in local clubs and nightspots. Rhydian sang in UK band “Word of
Mouth” in which he had a local hit record with “Fly away” and “Will You Be Mine”? Rhydian has also
released 2 other records in the UK, “Rain Again” and Double A sided CD “In Love With My Best Friend”
and “Give Me One More Chance,” with duet group Lewis & Flett. Rhydian Lewis started singing Michael
Bublé songs within Hope Island, Queensland, in venues such as Mexi’s (now renamed Leo’s), The Hyatt
Lounge Veranda Bar, Red Rock Cafe, and within Sanctuary Cove Marina Village, around 2010. Rhydian’s
Brisbane Jazz debut, covering Sinatra and Bobby Darin songs was at an open mic in 2011. Rhydian was
keen to put together a jazz band and luckily found the already formed trio of Fred Cole (piano), Hans
Lovejoy (double bass) and Ben Cox (drums) who were performing in the Tattersal Hotel in Lismore NSW.
With over 120 songs under his belt Rhydians’ song knowledge is vast and varied offering many different
feelings and tempos’ within the jazz and swing 1930’s to 1950’s period and up to later day hits.
