Tracey Challenor is a Queensland journalist, who in a career spanning 25 years, has worked in newspapers, magazines, and TV news. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Government from University of Queensland. Tracey is probably best-recognised as the chief presenter of Seven News’ weekend service which she delivered for 12 years and consistently rated in the ten most-watched programs in Brisbane each week. She delivered some of the biggest stories of the day – the September 11 attacks, royal visits and State elections – to name a few.

During her 15 year stint with the network, Tracey rose through the ranks to become senior reporter, covering breakthrough medical stories, education news, police rounds, environment rounds, tourism stories and federal politics.
She was also a regular presenter on Seven’s popular lifestyle program The Great South East.

Tracey was patron of Lifeline for many years, and has also supported other worthwhile Queensland charities such as The Mater Children’s Hospital, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and the Stroke Association of Queensland. She’s hosted numerous award nights and corporate and charity events, working with Queensland Day Committee, Queensland Sportswoman of the Year and Opera Queensland.

Since leaving TV news, Tracey has broadened her media skills: facilitating conferences; writing features for magazines; scripting and voicing corporate videos for clients; and working as a media trainer and PR consultant representing corporate clients and not-for-profit companies.
