Kimberly Schintu – Lead Vocals
Kimberly is an international vocal sensation regarded as this generation’s Tina Turner. From humble beginnings in Tokyo, she soon carved out a successful career and has entertained audiences from Australia to Japan, Europe to the USA and everywhere in between. With the Sonic Empire band backing her, she takes audiences on an amazing journey through musical history, delivering the best-known hits of our time with her own unique interpretation. Her performances are passionate and captivating, leaving each member of the audience feeling like she has sung just for them.
Chris McLaren – Guitar
Chris has been performing on guitar for the past 15 years. In that time he has played in jazz ensembles, house bands for production shows and various other performing groups throughout Queensland. In 2005 he was award “best rhythm player” at the Queensland Music Awards. In more recent times he has performed extensively in an acoustic duo and supported artists on live radio broadcasts, being flown interstate for appearances. Chris’ impeccable guitar skills bring an un-deniably unique groove to the sounds of Sonic Empire.
Danny Beeching – Drums
Danny has been playing drums for more than 25 years and in that time has played everything from bars to stadiums and most major venues along Australia’s east coast. He has toured extensively across Australia, recorded in world-class studios in Melbourne and performed at the infamous Byron Bay Bluesfest festival in the band “Vegas Kings”. In 2014 Lee Miller, guitarist with chart-topping 70’s performer William Shakesphere, quoted publicly: “Danny is one of the best drummers in Australia today”.
Steve Norris – Bass
Steve has played both bass and guitar in many Brisbane cover bands over the last 20 years. Playing for bands such as “The Backbeat”, “Hudson Road” and “Lunarjuice”, he has also proved himself as a reliable fill-in bass player for countless others. Other notable achievements include interstate performances for corporate events and playing bass for rock musicals such as “Rent”. He is excited to be laying down the bass lines in Sonic Empire and playing the kind of music he has always wanted to play.
