Omar Dean is a 20 year-old contestant from Melbourne, Victoria who auditioned for The X Factor singing “Climax” by Usher. Dean stated that his “own desire and passion” and encouragement from family and friends inspired him to audition. At the age of 15, Dean was bullied at school for being overweight. He turned to music to cope with the bullying.Dean’s mother Rania then sent him to the United States to start a health kick. He later returned to Australia as “a completely different person.” Dean cites Usher, Justin Beiber and Justin Timberlake as his musical influences. Omar was no doubt one of the best performers in of the competition and is rated a premium performer.
