Classically trained by the late Ivan Fosello, pianist for the famous European conductor and arranger, Mantovani, Mark received his grades through the Trinity College of London as well as studying jazz.
Signed as the only Australian to the world famous European label – Cafe del Mar which has been around since 1994 and includes works by world-renowned artists such as Massive Attack, Moby, Bent, Groove Armada,Dusty Springfield, Jean-Michel Jarre, Chicane, Underworld and Thomas Newman just to name a few. Café del Mar Vol. XVI which included his track “Long Flight Home” went # 1 in Spain and in the top 10 in several European countries at iTunes Stores!
(Howie G) Guitar/Vocals
Born in North Queensland Howie spent his childhood in the Fiji Islands, it was during this time that he started his apprenticeship as a professional musician that has spanned 4 decades. He got his first break at the age of 16, playing guitar in the house band at the Golden Dragon Nightclub, in the harbour town of Suva, Fiji.
When Howie moved to Sydney he spent the next 10 years working with top international artists as a “side man” and eventually as a musical director both live and in the studio.
“‘It was then that I really paid my musical due’s with disciplinedpractice on a daily basis and performing every possible genre of music genuinely dedicating every waking moment to my musical pursuit. “
HOWIE G was soon performing amongst the great musicians of that time and making a name for himself across the country and overseas.
JEFF REID, born and raised in New Jersey, U.S.A has been playing the saxophone since the age of 10. In 2006, during his senior year in high school, he won best soloist at every jazz festival in the Tri-State area of America. From this recognition,Jeff had the opportunity to tour Greece with the Philadelphia Jazz Orchestra. This experience inspired Jeff to further his career as a jazz musician.
From 2006 -2010 he attended Temple University on a full scholarship where he majored in Jazz Performance/ Saxophone. He studied the saxophone under the tutelage of Richard Oatts (world renowned jazz saxophonist) and participated in an eclectic of ensembles and groups. With these bands he performed at many world renowned venues such as Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola in New York City, and The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.
