Rick Price

Rick Price is one of the most accredited Australian singer/songwriters of the 90's.

1992 saw the emergence of such a talent with the singles "Not A Day Goes By", "Walk Away Renee" and "Heaven Knows".

Heaven Knows also achieved Top 40 status throughout Europe and with the album of the same name, it achieved Platinum status throughout Australia and South East Asia.

With 3 ARIA nominations and numerous Australian Music Awards behind him, Rick wrote and recorded the critically acclaimed second album, "Tamborine Mountain" during 1995. Also achieving Platinum status, it was Rick at his most experimental and it's content reflected a close and introspective view of his personal life. "Tamborine Mountain" saw Rick returning to his musical roots of country / rhythm and blues but still maintaining a commercial sound with strong melodies and arrangements.

Re-igniting his solid "pop" sensibilities, Rick set out to write his third album for Sony during 1997. With the Billboard headline in June of that year stating that "Pop is back", Rick knew his timing was right for "Another Place".

Pairing up with Phil Buckle (Southern Sons), Rick delivered an album full of vitality and 'good times'. Recorded in Rick's home studio the pair extended themselves by adding drums by John Robinson. The first single 'Where in the World" received substantial airplay throughout the country, clearly proving once again Price's ability to charm the radio listener.

During the late 90's whilst enjoying a considerable spell from the spotlight, Rick successfully devoted his time to song writing for other artist both in Australia and the United States.

Rick is currently preparing material for a fourth solo album due for release in 2002.
