| America's
greatest cover band to hit our shores..
Hailed in the US as "America's greatest local band", the Convertible Blondes, are heading to Australia for their debut 'down under' tour (see dates and venues below). The four piece band will rock the east coast of Australia with their energy reeling performances of current and past smash hits from artists including Alanis Morrisette, AC/DC, Eric Clapton, Pink, No Doubt and Creed. The tour will kick start the new year in Surfers Paradise on New Years Eve and continue to rock down the coast to Sydney. The Convertible Blondes are Gina Hall (lead VOX and keyboards), Larry Collinsworth (guitarist), Bub Koster (bass guitar), and T-Bone (drums). A high-energy pop/rock band, their aggressive delivery and deliberate approach produces a big sound combining rock tradition with technology. Early bands like Led Zeppelin, Cream and Pink Floyd are major musical influences. A permanent fixture on the US circuit for the past five years covering the north and south of America, the Convertible Blondes also has an impressive resume of international shows including France, Italy, Spain, Greece, The Caribbean, and now Australia. Supported by Australian blues band, Finn, The Convertible Blondes will also celebrate the release of their single "She Wants to Rock" on January 21st, 2004.
